About Us
Centre for Management and Social Research (CMSR)
is a research cum consultancy organization in management and
social services. Established in 1994, CMSR as an organization
began with an objective to support institutions and
organizations that were involved in social development through
its professional know-how and expertise. Today CMSR with its modern analytical operations research, quantitative and qualitative research techniques and professionals with expertise working in various disciplines is one of the leading consultants in Social Development and Environment.
CMSR has drawn professionals, with high expertise and wide-ranging experience from various disciplines like, sociology, economics, political science, environment, management, statistics, rural development, Urban Governance and Development, forestry, health, transport, energy, operational research, computer application, planning etc. The professionals of CMSR are products of institutions that have a high reputation nationally and internationally and have very good exposure of working with various ministries of state and central governments, local bodies and other public agencies (Administrative Staff Collage of India, Environmental Protection Training and Research Institute, Rural Electrification Corporation, National Highways Authorities of India, Centre for Good Governance etc.) besides working with various international agencies like the World Bank, Asian Development Bank,
UNFPA, USAID, DFID and other similar other organizations.
CMSR with its multidisciplinary research approach aims to scientifically investigate and analyze development oriented management problems confronted both at local and national levels, evolve development strategies and modules that help in decision making process. The stress is on the application of modern scientific approach and research techniques and methodologies in development management while maintaining focus on the problems of socially and economically backward groups in the process of development in rural and urban context. CMSR as social development and environmental consultant could provide its expert services and assistance to development managers and agencies in achieving development goals and objectives.

The activities of CMSR are directed by a Board of Members who provide policy direction and guidance to the organization. The Chief Consultant or the CEO of the organization supported by a group of senior and junior professionals heads the research activities of the organization. |
